A Patient's Story

A transformation, in his own words

I normally don't write reviews, but I genuinely wanted to share my experience because it has completely changed the way I look at fitness and health. For the last few years, I tried almost everything to lose weight and reduce body fat. I did cardio, aerobics, Zumba, weight training, swimming, cycling. I was working hard, but I wasn't getting the results I expected. I later realized that I was focusing only on exercise and not on my diet or gut health. Then my manager, Chaitanya Pandya, recommended Sehat+ and asked me to meet Ambika Nair. I thought, "Let's give it one try." That one decision changed everything. During my first consultation, Ambika didn't just hand me a diet chart. She spent time explaining how our body actually works, why fat gets stored, the importance of good nutrition, proper sleep, gut health, and even why some supplements are needed in the beginning. What I liked the most was that she never asked me to do anything unrealistic. She simply asked me to start with healthy eating habits and 10,000 steps a day. I followed her advice for around 10 days, and I could already feel the difference. My energy levels improved, I felt lighter, and I had already lost around 1–2 kg. That gave me the confidence to join the 3-month program. Since then, the journey has been amazing. Every week they check my weight, BMI, muscle mass, and body fat. I send photos of everything I eat, and the team guides me on what to eat, what to avoid, and even the right timing for meals. It never felt like I was on a strict diet. Instead, I learned how to eat properly. One thing I really liked is that the diet is not fancy or expensive. There are no complicated recipes or imported foods. Almost everything is available in your kitchen, at your local grocery store, or can be ordered easily from Blinkit or any nearby supermarket. It makes the plan practical and easy to follow even with a busy work schedule. Honestly, I thought losing 10 kg of fat would take at least 6–8 months. But with Ambika's guidance, I achieved almost 80% of my goal in just 2 months. My results in 2 months: Lost 8 kg of body fat Gained 1 kg of muscle Overall weight reduced by 7 kg More energy and a much healthier lifestyle The best part is that Ambika doesn't only focus on weight loss. She also guides you on improving your skin, hair, liver health, kidney health, sleep, and overall wellness. She genuinely wants you to become healthy from the inside, not just look slimmer. A big thank you to Chaitanya Pandya for recommending Sehat+, and a heartfelt thank you to Ambika Nair and the entire Sehat+ team for their continuous support, motivation, and guidance. If you've been working out for months but still aren't seeing results, don't make the same mistake I did. Exercise is important, but nutrition and lifestyle are equally important. Get the right guidance. I highly recommend Ambika Nair and Sehat+ to anyone who wants sustainable fat loss and a healthier lifestyle. This is not just a weight loss program, it teaches you how to take care of your body for life. ❤️

01

Protein at breakfast wins

Front-loading protein steadies blood sugar and curbs evening cravings far better than a carb-heavy start.

02

'Detox' teas don't detox

Your liver and kidneys already do the job. Hydration, fibre and sleep beat any expensive cleanse.

03

Crash diets always rebound

Very-low-calorie phases slow metabolism. Steady, sustainable change is what keeps weight off for good.

The Therapeutic Potential of Soluble Fiber in Metabolic Syndrome: Beyond the Supplement Pill

The Therapeutic Potential of Soluble Fiber in Metabolic Syndrome: Beyond the Supplement Pill

E-Square The Fern

At a Continuing Medical Education evening hosted by Nucgnex at E-Square The Fern in Pune, Ambika Nair took a room of physicians and dietitians well past the usual "eat more fiber" advice. The session was chaired by her longtime mentor Dr. Jyothi Gulathi (MBBS, MD), whose early belief in clinical nutrition helped shape Ambika's career, and it opened with a sharp question: if almost every diet fails and about half the lost weight returns within two years, what actually changes the outcome in metabolic syndrome? Her answer built around soluble fiber, though never as a buzzword. She made the case that one diet never fits all, showed how heavily processed food quietly fuels inflammation, and placed soluble fiber inside a complete medical nutrition plan alongside the right protein, smarter carbohydrates, and an anti-inflammatory, Mediterranean-style pattern. Then she got practical: which soluble fibers are gentle on the gut and which trigger bloating, why resistant maltodextrin is not the maltodextrin patients fear, and a simple timing trick, the "second meal effect," that can quietly pull post-meal sugars down. She closed on the evidence, on India now carrying one of the world's heaviest diabetes loads, and on a reassuring idea: fiber, chosen well, can be a lifelong, food-first therapy rather than a short-term pill. The complete talk, from the fiber-by-fiber breakdown to the diabetes nutrition framework and the audience Q&A on millets and cooking them without the bloating, lives in the videos below. They are genuinely worth watching start to finish.

At the 14th Annual Conference (3–5 July 2026, JW Marriott, Pune), under the theme “Change, Evolve for a better tomorrow,” Ambika was on the invited Faculty — bringing the clinical-nutrition perspective to a room of critical-care physicians: how evidence-based medical nutrition therapy supports recovery in the ICU, from the critically ill and post-surgical patient to transplant and multi-organ care.
